Hello my poor writing friends.
Everyone take a deep breath. It's ok. I have been working on part [6] of my little thingy. I just wanted to take a minute to let you guys in. I more or less got this idea and started pounding out the pages. I've been seeing my plot threads through via dramatica and making sure I liked the mechanics of my "Magic."
That being said; all of my feedback has been super positive. Too much so, in fact. It has been suggested that I would be silly to throw this online to give away. I don't know. But, I am changing my approach. I was trying to keep my installments at about 4 or 5 pages single spaced. I figured anything longer than that and I was going to lose readers, who I assume would be working and killing a few fast minutes, like someone idly flipping through a comic. That's the whole goal around this project.
But, being a bastard, I've gotten too serious with the story and, as usual, am needing more and more characters. So, while I'm not completely sure that Lucky One will or won't be a serial; I am writing it until it's done, and am maintaining relative, every focus on the project (I have other ideas and stories I work on too, as the muses demand).
So! Don't be afraid to start over if you need. This will happen but I refuse to force the issue or to set deadlines for us.
That being said; if you know other writing writers that would benefit from our unique brand of exchange, do let me know. No douchebags allowed.
This is a writer's group by default. We WILL get to the online publishing and it WILL be fun. But, I feel it has to come naturally. Writing a serials is a lost art. We'll find it, we'll make it work for us.
Peace, love and ass-slaps (you know the type baby),
The Bastard Himself.
